TEAM HISTORY

The Vanguard Robotics Team was founded by Vanguard High School in Montreal, Québec in 2016. Team members love to build, code, and compete against other teams. The Vanguard Robotics program introduces students to robots and technology while providing hands-on workshops for students with learning disabilities. The team first started by competing in the First Lego League competition. The Vanguard Robotics Team has won the Judges’ Award multiple times. In 2019, the team even reached fourth place in the First Robotics competition. In 2022, the robotics team competed in the FIRST Robotics Competition and won the prestigious Judges’ Choice Award for their dedication and perseverance throughout the year. In 2024 the team competed in FRC and CRC. In the 2025 season Vanguard Robotics once again the team competed in FRC and CRC (Canadian Robotics Competition). The team made it to the semi finals in CRC and did a great job at FRC. Currently the team has grown to almost 40 students and 10 mentors. This year we have made the decision to only compete in FRC. We will be attending the Festival de Robotique in Montreal, Quebec. As a team we cannot wait to see the outcome for this season. In 2026 the team has made the desion to rename the team to STEM 4 ALL. A new logo has been designed and introduced into the team, new unforms and a whole new brand has been created for team 8224.

TEAM FUTURE

The team looks forward to now being a well-established FRC team, having purchased swerve drive and lots of other components that will be able to be reused. This will help us have a nice foundation for the years to come. In the next couple of years, we hope to get major sponsors and new room improvements. We eventually hope to have a larger team with great technologies and machines like CNC and milling machines. This year was a huge step for the team, as the room underwent a large facelift including new tools, parts, electrical systems as well as new organization systems. New mentors and teachers joined along to maximize our potential. It can only get better from here.
